Author Marla AlupoaiceiMarla Alupoaicei seeks to love God and love people with all her heart. A powerful advocate for the arts, she possesses a God-given passion for sharing redemptive truth with her readers.

Marla met her husband, Catalin, in Romania while on a mission trip working with orphans. The couple married in Falticeni, Romania, on March 16, 2002. Catalin moved to the States soon afterward. The couple has been actively involved in ministry for years. In particular, they enjoy teaching, taking mission trips, and ministering to the needs of intercultural couples.

A graduate of Purdue University and Dallas Theological Seminary, Marla Alupoaicei has performed eight years of research in the field of intercultural marriage. She also has interviewed many intercultural couples to gain their perspective on the joys and struggles they have experienced in their own marriages. Marla’s forthcoming book Your Intercultural Marriage includes the results of her cutting-edge research as well as anecdotes, biblical principles and practical advice gleaned from the author’s personal interviews.

Marla Alupoaicei has years of experience working as a writer and editor. She worked for five years as a writer for Insight for Living. Marla’s nonfiction articles have been published in several major publications, including Marriage Partnership, Kindred Spirit, and Insights.

Marla also is a prize-winning poet and has had poetry published in a wide variety of literary journals. She writes redemptively with the purpose of ushering her readers into the presence of God and offering them practical, transformational truth that’s relevant to daily life.
